So, because the school year started for me on September 4th, I will not have much time to work on anything except for weekends, holidays, and the odd homeworkless night.
Anyways, all art production is kind of on hold for now. I want to redesign Felicia badly, I have background art to make, and clothes to draw. I am currently focusing on writing and that's pretty much what I want to focus on for now.
Any suggestions are welcome, feel free to email me at katzilla.alias@gmail.com or do whatever else you want.
Thank you!
An Acceptable Break From Reality
The production blog for my WIP Visual Novel "An Acceptable Break From Reality". The only time you get to date cute girls who play video games who don't annoy you every second! I'm sure you can work through the problem of them being 2D, though.

Ishild Austerlitz Outfits
Ishild Austerlitz, the resident German immigrant. She can be a bit of a psycho, but she's actually pretty fun to be around. Well, if you have loose morals, that is.
Her Beta outfit. I actually really like this one, and I'm really glad with how the necklace came out. Not so much the Void Cube, or the shirt cuffs, either. The pants and rest of the shirt are pretty good, though.
Her Theta outfit. Tracing the gasmask was a lot easier than planned. It looks a bit out of place... also, her zipper pants are a bit odd-looking, but it will do.
Her Delta outfit. I hate the symbol! Very difficult to draw in that perspective, even though it is an incredibly easy to draw symbol if it were facing forward. I guess I can just say her chest is so big, it stretched the fabric to look like that? I have a few shirts that have the fabric stretched like that :c
Her Kappa outfit. Likely my second or most favorite, since orange is my favorite color (besides rainbow). Also, it was easy to make the symbol, and the rest of the outfit was also easy to make.
Her Omega outfit. Her only truly unique outfit (as in, her pants or shirt weren't reused in another outfit) considering Ishild isn't really into clothes or fashion or the like, it fits her well to not have too many clothes.
In case you're wondering, her name is pronounced (by me, anyways; my German isn't perfect and when I was in Germany, I was told I sounded like a Japanese girl speaking German well) ish-ild. You can also pronounce like I-shild, or even ice shield (which is what it means...) and her last name is Oust-er-leetz.
I've been wasting time by doing some concept artwork for a new VN, an otome game this time. It'll be supernatural- the three boys you can date are an incubus, a dryad, and a nixie or a merman, or maybe a nymph/fairy (haven't quite figured it out) and you will most likely play as a nixie if the guy isn't, or a nymph/fairy if the guy isn't. It will probably be shorter than this VN, a bit easier to navigate, and more about the romance.
I will be changing the blog's layout soon, so look forward to a decent looking format.

Emily Vanderuff Outfits
I like Emily a lot. Originally she was probably going to be my most hated and Felicia would be my most favorite, but as it turns out, the exact opposite has happened, hah.
But, I will say I had high hopes for Emily's designs- they were very clear in my head, but they came out less than spectacular. But, that's a bit befitting, considering all her clothes are hand-me-downs or cheap, considering her family's situation.
My second most favorite outfit, her Beta.
Very closely to second most favorite, my third most favorite outfit, Theta.
This was originally going to be one of my favorites, but it came out so bad looking. It's just a denim romper with a white-blue French cuff shirt. I know my fashion and I love my fashion and can draw realistic fashion concepts, but when it comes to making reality into this cartoonish style I have little experience with, it's a bit difficult.
This was another one that was originally going to look much better than intended. Ah well. Probably my least favorite, closely behind her Delta outfit.
Ah, finally, her Omega outfit. My favorite, simply because it started out looking horrid but I think I made it look so good. I am a bit on the fence of how saggy and baggy her clothes are; yes, it is an excuse to allow me to keep my natural mistakes in (some of them, at least) but it also looks a bit odd. Hm, well, I just guess I'll have to depend on the opinion of the readers to know if it's a good design or not.
Also, in case you're wondering, the outfits go in order of Beta>Theta>Delta>Kappa>Omega (Beta being the first outfit I drew, to Omega being the last) for no reason other than those were the only Greek letter names I could readily remember, and I know only Omega is in its proper place. I'm more of a Latin girl myself, being fluent in it, but naming each one prima, secunda, etc would probably be confusing to some.
Also, I made a to-do list today and I will be trying to work some more on the scripts soon. I haven't slept in about 38 hours, and I don't see myself sleeping for another 16 or so.

Sophie McGill Outfits
These are the five basic outfits of Sophie McGill. Designs are subject to change, but I really do like these beta outfits and designs. They were easy, hah.
First outfit, Beta. I still need to go in and edit it (like the rest of the cast's Beta outfits) so don't mind it's... blehness. I guess.
Second outfit, Theta. Probably my favorite.
Third outfit, Kappa. Probably my least favorite. But I do like her hair bows a lot.
Fourth outfit, Delta. I like everything but the tie. I also decided to forego any hair decs.
Fifth outfit, Omega. Yep, inspired by Katawa Shoujo. I might go back in and fix her skirt and leggings, but I feel proud of the top. I normally hate and have a lot of issues with poofy sleeves, but this came out nicely. I also liked how the hair decs came out; I thought they would look bad. Hmm.
Well, that's all. Thank you!~

Hmm.
My very first post.
This blog is to show progress on this little thing called a visual novel, which is where you live vicariously through someone else and fall in love with pixels on your screen. Or you don't, and you just enjoy the game. That happens too.
Wow, I'm terrible at blogging already...
Anyways, I will be posting the beta artwork for each girl, brushing up on my HTML skills I have rarely ever had to use, posting things about the script, and talking about the video games I am currently playing.
Speaking about video games I am currently playing, I am playing a host of VN's, Katamari Damacy, and... Rage of Bahamut. Hm, which one of those doesn't belong? [my referral code in Rage of Bahamut is iez24858, by the way, you should totally use it... aaaaand I also offer alt accounts using your referral code but that is business best dealt through my email, haha]
To contact me, you can email me at my primary email address katzilla.alias@gmail.com
You can contact me on my dA, on lemmasoft, on ff.net, or anywhere else you happen upon me for whatever reason.
I will be changing the template/layout of the blog soon, but for now, deal with this nice yet generic little thing, ha.
So I'll leave the question I've asked before: what games do you enjoy the most/what games are you playing right now?
